  • Applies the arts (visual, music, writing, dance, performance, etc.) to promote mind/body wellness

  • Programs may exist in healthcare facilities, community work, or private practice

  • It is wellness focused

  • It is NON-CLINICAL

  • Helps reduce stress & anxiety

  • It can help you find your voice through the creative process

  • Helps process & transform emotions

  • It does NOT involve diagnosis or psychoanalyzing

  • It is NOT Art Therapy; however, it does have therapeutic benefits
